Travel Tip: If you have young children and still like to have an eye on them whilst they are on the pump track, book an appartment at the Rocksresort in the Cauma building facing the pump track. Not only can you see down over the whole place, the kids will also love to see whats going on at their favourite place at Rocksresort – the pump track and skate park when they are not on it
Good to know: The hotel double bedrooms do not have any cooking facilities nor are you able to make a coffee or tea, but there are plenty of places to eat or drink within the resort. And because all the restaurants and bars are scattered around the skatepark and pump track, you can sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or an aperitif whilst the kids are getting better and better on their scooters or skateboards.

You’ll find everything you need at the resort. A bakery, a small Volg supermarket, bike & scooter rental, (ski & board rental during winter) sports shop, laundry facilities, and of course plenty of adventure sports activities, but more on this below.

Then at the foot of the flow trail, one can try some moves in the skateboard half pipe, or jump a few times on the trampolines, before picking up the scooter again and having fun on the pump track. All in all, a complete haven for bike, scooter or skateboard lovers.

Walking on the Dragons tail
Lure the kids off the flow trail and pump track in Laax and head over to the world’s longest treetop walkway the “Senda dil Dragun” (Baumwipfelpfad)
The starting point of the path is at the tower Murschetg, which is conveniently situated right at the Rocksresort. The highlight definitely is the 73 metre long slide around this tower.
The path has several seating possibilities with panorama binoculars indicating the names of nearby peaks and points of interest. On each of these stations an info board explains what is special in the surrounding nature and how it has changed over the centuries.
Have the kids find the different animals semi-hidden in the Laaxer forest. Do not to miss the new inhabitant – the Wolf.
The walkway is 1.57 km long (one way). You can exit at the other end by the tower Dimplaun. From there is it a 20 minutes walk to the bus stop Laax Posta or you can wait for the shuttle bus that will bring you from the tower Dimplaun to the village Laax. The shuttle runs on the hour to the tower Dimplaun and always at 15 past the hour from the tower back to Laax village. From Laax village back to the Rocksresort you can either walk or take the bus.
But we suggest you walk back along the treetop path as you will see the forest from a different angle, and at the end the slide awaits.
Plus, you will be back at the Rocksresort where the kids for sure will like to go back on their scooters and skateboards, which gives you the perfect opportunity for an aperitif in one of the bars and restaurant around the tracks. A win-win situation.
